As this automata is only 90 mm x 60 mm x 170 mm high the title might be a little confusing , however if you hold the box on a table in front of you and wind the handle the title will soon begin to make sense . The handle winds a worm gear operating a mechanism called a Scotch crank this gradually causes the mans head to look up whilst opening his jaw and extending his eyes in awe .
