An allegory of love . Designed by Paul Spooner with a little modification by Matt Smith .           The man tries in vain to get it right but misses the nail every time which cunningly twists out of the way.                                                                                                                                              The model is 200mm x 70mm x 200mm high , the box is Douglas fir with a cherry and beech mechanism, the man is made of lime and the hammer box wood and ebony.                                    I have made 43 so far. The first being made in June 1993.
