Designed by Matt Smith and Paul Spooner and made by Matt Smith .   They were made in May 1992 and there are 28.                                                                               The U-boat starts off hidden inside the tin bath and as you wind the handle slowly rises up .When it reaches the surface the captain opens the hatch and surrenders.                                                 The box is Douglas fir , the bath is lime and the U boat is lime and copper . The gears are tin and phosphor bronze .                                                                                                                          The model is 60mm x 90mm x 170mm high.
