This is the Trainee Banana Ripenerdesigned by Paul Spooner and made by Matt Smith an edition of 50 finished in July 2000

The trainee reads his Beano comic and occasionally lifts the lid covering the banana and gives it a cursory glance to see if it has ripened . Eventually it does !                                                       

Made of the usual materials and nicely painted by Sarah especially the Beano.                               

The model is 190mm x 100mm x 210mm high.
